Care Management Provider:

Joanne Medina-Courtois, M.A.
Joanne Courtois has served seniors and their families for over 22 years.
She received her Bachelors Degree in Human Services and a Masters Degree in Behavioral Sciences: Gerontology from California State University Dominguez Hills.
Her expertise comes from experience in managing and overseeing a variety of Gerontology, nursing and social programs. She was the Rehabilitation and Social Services Manager for Bay Harbor Hospital, Director of Operations for Senior Buena Care (an adult day care center), Operations and Social Services Manager for Vencare/Candle Subacute Services (nursing home), Case Manager and later a Clinical Manager for Extended Home Care for SCAN Healthplan (Senior Care Action Network), and Multi-purpose Senior Services Supervisor for AltaMed Health Services. Additionally, Joanne worked in case management for Harbor Regional Center, SCAN, MAP (Minority AIDS Program), South Bay Senior Services and Emily Stuhlbarg & Associates.
These various senior management and social worker leadership positions for leading organizations gave Joanne the expertise to meet the needs of seniors and the developmentally disabled. Her nursing background gives her the knowledge of medical terminology helping to facilitate understanding between the Doctor and the patient.
Mrs. Courtois founded LA Senior Care Management, out of a desire to provide advocacy, support and expertise to seniors and their families.
